We are looking for a hands-on Account Manager for our Business to Consumer team for the Swiss and Austrian market. Here we sell to operators and retailers to reach our target consumer audience. Our Sales Approach

At Fairphone we sell our products to consumers, companies and organizations who are keen to support our movement towards a fair electronics value chain. This not only means sales through our own webshop, but also cooperating with like-minded partners in the industry who play a key role in the value chain, such as telecom operators, distributors, retailers/e-tailers and public/corporate procurement.

Here’s the challenge

We are excited to bring onboard a hands-on Account Manager for our Business to Consumer team for the Swiss and Austrian market. From day one, you will be responsible for creating and nurturing our partnerships to achieve Fairphone's sales goals. Drawing from your prior experience, you will quickly engage prospects and stakeholders.

Your Profile

  • Demonstrated ownership and strong initiative in previous roles

  • Hands-on, organized, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with native proficiency in German

  • Thrive in challenging sales environments

  • Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated, with a preference for fast-paced startup environments

  • Exceptional storytelling ability, you will sell much more than a phone 

  • Team player who values diversity and multicultural collaboration

  • Willingness to work from the Netherlands, with eligibility to work within the EU

  • Experience building successful partnerships and bringing existing ones to the next level.

  • Demonstrated track record of successful partner management.

Your Responsibilities

  • Effectively build strategic partnerships with new and existing partnerships

  • Ensure accurate forecasting through proper funnel management

  • Present the Fairphone story and product portfolio with enthusiasm

  • Represent Fairphone at conferences and events

  • Develop the GoToMarket plan aligned with Fairphone's mission and your territory goals

  • Understand target consumers and the role of sales channels and marketing

  • Prepare sales proposals and reports

  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless delivery and service coordination

Your Skills & Experiences

  • Three or more years of experience in business development and/or account management in the European mobile phone industry, preferably in the consumer business segment

  • Passion for sales and understanding of the smartphones or consumer electronics industry

  • Strong planning skills and ability to drive sales initiatives

  • Experience building strategic partnerships with new and existing accounts

  • Cross-functional team collaboration experience

  • Familiarity with Google Docs and Sheets for business communication and case development

  • Experience selling to direct partners and via distributors

  • Hands-on, organized, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with native proficiency in German
