IT Support Specialist

As our new IT Support Specialist, a large part of the role is to provide daily end-user support and troubleshooting for the entire Fairphone team (currently around 160 users). You have the experience and skills to provide Fairphone with IT support in the next growth phase, to support the company on its journey to become a world-class Smartphone Manufacturer.
Assist with the management of our fleet of Apple laptops and Android mobile phones.
Manage IT equipment in the office (workstations, printer, Google Meet hardware).
Manage the assignment of software licenses and company SIM cards.
Handle the IT onboarding of new employees:
Communicate with the People team to schedule new onboarding sessions.
Prepare the necessary hardware.
Lead the IT onboarding session during the first day of employment.
Handle the IT offboarding of departing employees.
Inform the employee of how the IT offboarding works.
Collect the hardware back on the last day.
Initialize the hardware for future deployments.
Be the first line of IT support at the office and via our ticketing system.
Enforce existing policies.
Collect feedback on said policies that will be used to iterate and improve.
Keep our internal wiki up to date with any changes to our IT procedures.
Manage our IT inventory, and monitor stock levels of key assets (e.g., laptops, phones).
Work out of the Amsterdam office at least four days per week, but ideally five. Your office hours will be 9:00 to 17:30.
You love technical challenges.
You are hands-on, take initiative and see opportunities where others see issues, and apply them via constructive, creative thinking.

You have the ability to integrate yourself in the work environment of a SME that is determined by change.

You (are willing to) live in the Netherlands and have the right to work within the EU.
You have a relevant degree in the Information Technology field, or possess similar levels of experience, thinking, and working.
You have a good understanding of macOS.
You are flexible and are able to quickly learn and support new applications.
You are accurate in your work, capable of working independently.
You are fluent in English communication, both written and verbally.
You have experience with open source software and solutions.
You have experience with Git and GitLab.
You have experience with shell scripting and deployment automation (with tools like Ansible).
You have any level of experience with Linux.
You have any level of experience with Windows.
You have experience with the administration of Google Workspace.
You have experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and/or Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions.
